Tickets for the new destinations go on sale from today (6 December). Flights to the Czech capital of Prague start from £27.49 per person (one way) and launch on 27 March 2013. Flights to the Greek city of Thessaloniki start from £29.49 per person (one way) and launch on 29 March 2013.

Ali Gayward, Commercial Manager for easyJet, said: “We’re expanding the destinations we offer from Manchester Airport to provide easy and affordable flights whether you’re looking for a city break or holiday in the sun.""

“Prague is a welcomed addition for the business community and those looking for an affordable city break whilst Thessaloniki is the ideal destination for an extended holiday packed with sun and culture in Greece’s second city. With the addition of these routes easyJet now links Manchester with 31 destinations across Europe and the Middle East.”

easyJet will offer three services a week to the Czech Capital of Prague on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays along with twice weekly services to the Greek city of Thessaloniki on Mondays and Fridays.

Last month easyJet launched allocated seating across all flights from Manchester Airport. All passengers are now provided with a seat number for free when they check in. Customers who wish to select a specific seat can do so for a fee of £3, £8 or £12 depending on their seat preference.

easyJet has trialled allocated seating since April with nearly 2 million passengers flying on 12,500 allocated seating flights. Research among these passengers has shown that 71% think allocated seating is better due to the improved boarding experience, while over 60% said that they are more likely to fly with easyJet in the future as a result.
