easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has announced an increase of its popular services between London Gatwick and Copenhagen today, making it even easier for business passengers to travel to and from the Danish capital with its first ever early morning 06:55* departure from Copenhagen and an evening 19:50* departure from London Gatwick. With flights on sale now, the move will see easyJet’s flights increase from three to four each day from 24 May 2013. Over 200,000 passengers already fly easyJet between its largest base at London Gatwick and Copenhagen and this figure will rise to over 300,000 as a result of these service additions.

easyJet celebrated flying 10m business passengers across its network in 2012 and has seen a significant increase in the number of passengers flying with the airline on business. The airline made its ‘flexi fares’ available to all via easyJet.com in 2011 giving passengers greater choice and flexibility with benefits such as unlimited free date changes from one week before, to three weeks after the original travel date and Speedy Boarding included in the fare price. With the airline’s industry leading on time performance and network-wide free allocated seating, easyJet is successfully demonstrating its growing commitment to those flying on business.

Paul Simmons, easyJet’s UK Director said:

“We are actively improving our product choice, flexibility, availability and quality to help our business passengers by offering early morning and evening flights seven days a week which are supplemented by two afternoon departures. So whether you start your journey at London Gatwick or Copenhagen and at whatever time of day you want to fly, easyJet has the schedule to help you make the most of your time.

“Our flights to Copenhagen are available from as little as £29.99** (one way including taxes) and we deliver outstanding value with our regular fares proven to be cheaper in eight out of ten occasions and flexi fares nine out of ten, so it really does make business sense to fly easyJet.”

easyJet has also increased the frequency of its flights from London Gatwick to the Croatian cities of Split and Dubrovnik as well as Nice in France and currently also serves Copenhagen from Bristol, Edinburgh and London Stansted.
