easyJet, the UK’s largest airline, has today announced the release of ten new “Fearless Flyer” course dates nationwide for Spring 2015. The courses will take place throughout the UK including Gatwick, Belfast, Edinburgh and Manchester, and due to high demand there will also be courses in Newcastle and Liverpool for the first time. 

This means more Fearless Flyer courses are available now than since the course was launched in late 2012, and comes following the success of the course this year. In total, more than 1,900 people have taken part in the course and overcome their fear of flying since it first started. 

Mark Wein, easyJet’s Fearless Flyer Course Director, explained: 

“Our course has been a phenomenal success this year with over 95% of participants taking to the skies fearlessly after attending the course. As a result, we’ve received an incredible amount of emails and photos of our Fearless Flyers who have since travelled all over the world.

“Our success is down to the unique format of the course which is split into two parts: the first part is either a Friday evening or Saturday afternoon ground session, where our top phobia expert, Lawrence Leyton, and a senior easyJet pilot dispel common flying myths and teach participants a unique set of mind tools to manage their nerves.

“Participants then fly on a dedicated flight onboard an easyJet aircraft where they put the skills they’ve learnt to the test while listening to a live commentary of the flight from our presenting pilot. It’s a really unique and emotional flight with an amazing atmosphere with lots of smiles and tears of joy as people learn to fly fearlessly – some for the first time in their lives.”
