Berlin, 12. March 2019. In his new role he is tasked with driving the strategic direction and commercial success of easyJet in Germany, which incorporates 35 based aircraft, 11 airports and 2 bases. Stephan will be based in Berlin and oversee the development of easyJet´s operations in the German capital, the second biggest hub in the easyJet-network after London-Gatwick.

Stephan has been with easyJet in the past, overseeing the German route portfolio as Route Manager for 2 years. After that he joined Air New Zealand as Business Development Manager, acquiring experience in the indirect distribution channels, working with corporates, TMCs and aggregators. For the last four years Stephan has been working at Hamburg Airport in traffic development and airline relations.

Stephan will report to Group Markets Director Thomas Haagensen and will be working closely with the Berlin team in further strengthening easyJet´s position as Berlin´s biggest airline. Berlin is a key target market for easyJet with more than 50 million passengers having flown to and from Berlin with easyJet since 2004. easyJet has 35 based aircraft in Berlin operating up to 120 routes to and from the Berlin. Almost 12 million passengers fly to/from the Germany on easyJet every year and the airline serves 11 German airports.
