• easyJet has tripled the number of routes it offers from Prague in the last year and has grown it’s flying programme by over a third 

  • Latest new route to Liverpool in the UK took off for the first time this week, meaning the airline now offers 21 routes from the Czech capital to seven countries across Europe.

easyJet has today celebrated the expansion of its flying programme to and from Prague, including the launch of its inaugural flight on a  new route to Liverpool in the UK.

 

easyJet has increased its presence in Prague with a 35% year-on-year increase in its overall flying programme. Since easyJet began flying to Prague in September 1999, it has carried over 18.5 million customers to and from the city, and now flies more than one million customers a year.

 

In the past year, the airline’s network has gone from strength to strength, tripling the number of routes on its network, adding seven new services from Prague to Birmingham, Glasgow, and Liverpool in the UK, to Nantes and Nice in France, and to Palma and Alicante in Spain. The airline has also recently resumed flights to Prague from Northern Ireland's capital, Belfast, and from Naples in Italy.

 

With 21 routes across Europe now available, the airline is providing even greater choice and year-round connectivity to Europe from Prague, as well as for more customers travelling to Prague and the surrounding regions known for their rich history and culture, hearty and flavourful Czech cuisine all at great value.

 

The first flight to Liverpool took off for the first time this week on Monday 28th October, which is now operating three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays year-round.

 

Travellers to Prague can explore the city’s historic heart, with its colourful baroque buildings, gothic churches and amazing medieval Astronomical Clock. Bursting with character, culture and cafes, Prague is packed with eye-catching panoramas at every street turn.

 

Czech visitors to Liverpool can explore the city’s famous Albert Docks, see the hallowed turf at Liverpool FC’s Anfield Stadium or follow in the footsteps of the ‘Fab Four’ and take a magical mystery tour to rediscover the rise to fame of the world’s biggest ever band, The Beatles.

 

To mark the occasion, the airline surprised customers flying today from Prague with giveaways throughout the day, including cake giveaways, took place at the airport throughout the day.
