The new route to the Romanian capital will fly four times a week on a Monday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday and will take off for the first time on 17 October 2013. Flight prices start at just £37.49* and are now available to book online at easyJet.com.
Alongside the new route to Bucharest, travellers will find favourite destinations such as Amsterdam, Bergen and Copenhagen together with winter sun destinations Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Faro all available this winter.
Paul Simmons, easyJet’s UK director, comments:
“easyJet has already flown 14.3 million passengers from London Gatwick over the past year and now operates 102 routes from the airport. easyJet currently doesn’t fly to Bucharest from any other UK base so we are hugely excited to be in a position to launch it and include it in schedule.
”We fly to the places our passengers tell us they most want to visit and Romania has been repeatedly suggested so I’m really pleased to be in a position to announce this new route is being added to our schedule. I’m sure Bucharest will be hugely popular with travellers, plus as ever those who book early will reap the greatest cost savings so I’d urge everyone seeking a winter break to book early to secure the cheapest flights.”
Bucharest was previously known as ‘Little Paris’ and is host to many diverse architectural buildings like the second largest building in the world, the Parliament Palace and the Arcul de Triumf, modelled after the Parisian Arc de Triomphe.
Travellers looking to book their winter flights, accommodation and transfers in one go can find a wide range of flexible and affordable breaks from all easyJet airports on the easyJet Holidays website: www.easyJet.com/holidays or by calling: 0843 104 1000.
