Numbers will peak on Friday 18 March when more than 205,000 passengers are expected to fly on 1,360 flights across the network.

In the UK alone, over 118,000 passengers are set to fly to or from easyJet’s UK airports on 782 flights on Friday 18 March, toppling another record for the most customers travelling with the airline on one day during the Easter getaway

Barcelona, Madrid and Malaga top the list of favourite sunshine destinations and with Easter falling in late March, combined with continued snow fall across Europe, Geneva came out top as the perfect destination for some end of season skiing.

Sophie Dekkers, Director UK Market, easyJet said:  “Year after year Easter continues to be one of our busiest travel periods for our customers and this year will be no exception.

“We are seeing high demand across our 750+ route network peaking on Friday 18 March as more people than ever before are flying either home or on holiday with us in what will be our busiest Easter ever. “Whether customers are flying to visit friends and family or incorporating skiing into their Easter breaks this year, we are doing everything possible to make our customer’s Easter travel as easy and of course, affordable as possible.”
