Due to the ongoing power failure at London Gatwick easyJet has been forced to cancel 38 flights and delay a further six overnight. We apologise to all passengers affected and understand how frustrating this is particularly at Christmas.
The majority of these flights were due to depart later today and all passengers have been offered a transfer to an alternative flight free of charge.
easyJet had already cancelled 15 flights from Gatwick earlier today.
Whilst this issue is outside of easyJet's control, we apologise to passengers for the inconvenience caused and we are doing everything possible under difficult circumstances to help people get home for Christmas.
A number of easyJet staff have volunteered to work on Christmas Day to operate delayed flights and we have secured over 450 hotel rooms at Gatwick to accommodate passengers delayed overnight.
easyJet is advising all remaining passengers at London Gatwick to expect delays and check our flight tracker http://www.easyjet.com/en/flight-tracker on the easyJet website or mobile app for the latest information.
