easyJet, the UK's largest airline is celebrating the growing success of its US website by wishing its customers from the USA a 'Happy Fourth of July' for American Independence Day.

With many celebrating the US National holiday with a short break and travelling to extend the holiday, over 3,000 US customers have booked to fly easyJet on 4 July with London, Paris, Rome and Barcelona their top four European destinations.

Due to the increasing number of customers from across the pond using easyJet's network of more than 1300 easy and affordable daily flights to explore Europe, easyJet launched its dedicated US website www.easyjet.com/us in September 2012. The site offers its American visitors a more tailored browsing experience where they can book flights for their 'vacations' in dollars and date formats have been changed to match US browsers' month first style.

In the last months the US website launch has propelled the American website to number seven in easyJet's ranking of top ten countries easyJet customers visit the website from, up from number ten in September 2012. Over that period US visitors overtook those from Portugal, the Netherlands and Greece. The website has seen most visits from those in the sunshine States of Florida and California with New Yorkers coming a close third for their number of visits.

Peter Duffy, easyJet's Marketing Director commented:

""We're really pleased that easyJet.com/us is proving such a big success with our American customers. We're seeing more than 60,000 customers visiting the site each month and this continues to rise. We are thrilled to be flying over 3,000 of them on easyJet on American Independence Day. We'd like to wish them all a Happy Fourth of July!""
